A Gold-Lacquer and Inlaid Hira-Natsume (Squat Tea caddy) depicting an autumnal night scene in contrasting gold takamaki-e and gold togidashi maki-e with details highlighted in kirikane depicting the treetops of a forest at dawn, crows perched in and flying above the trees, egrets in the foliage below, the crows in shakudo and the egrets in shibuichi, the interior with bands of clouds, a hidden poem disguised in the moss on the tree trunk, with two inscribed lacquered wood tomobako and outer wood tomobako
